Taylor Lindsey is pleased to announce the sponsorship of Will and Jim Hardy in their gruelling Moroccan Marathon Des Sables in April 2012.
The event takes place over six days in the Sahara Desert where they will run 156 miles in the blistering sun, the temperature being over 45C. To make matters worse they also have to carry all of their own equipment, food and water.
In preparation for the event Will and Jim have been taking part in other Marathon’s and running between 40 and 75 miles per week in their training sessions. The next event is the London Ultra Marathon in February and Grantham in March. Will commented “We know that the Desert Marathon is going to be extremely tough and this will be the hardest thing that we have ever done”.
The brothers hope to raise over £8000 in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, who have helped their dad, Steve, live with the condition for 15 years. Jim said “We want to raise the money for the charity and we want to do it for our dad”.
Taylor Lindsey will be following Will and Jim’s challenge in April 2012 and wish them both the best of luck. Their website can be found at www.mds2012.co.uk.
